ABOUT US

Run by MLSE Foundation and supported by BMO, KickStart is a grassroots soccer program offered in priority Toronto communities. Developed in partnership with Toronto Community Housing and expanded to include additional community partners in 2026, he KickStart program provides youth access to opportunities where they can thrive, build vibrant communities, and have a positive soccer experience.

WHY NOW?

KickStart focuses on introducing children ages 6 to 14 to the game of soccer and concentrates on physical literacy as well as fundamental skill development. In previous years, through our partnership with TCHC, we were able to provide KickStart opportunities to 360 youth. This year, we’ve expanded our partnerships to include three additional community organizations — Girls Forward Foundation, the Eritrean Canadian Community Centre, and Scadding Court Community Centre. With this growth, we’re now reaching 550 youth and offering girls-only programming in addition to our co-ed sessions.
